March 14, 2011 -- Ottawa, ON: GTEC Ottawa, produced by UBM TechWeb, announces that it has appointed Nancy Dorigo as Executive Director of Content for GTEC Ottawa and Terry Horsman as the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Nancy Dorigo has been Special Advisor to GTEC since 2007. She has played a key role in developing content and providing direction for the conference program for many years, building it to become the leading government technology event in Canada.
Nancy is an experienced public sector executive who has been a champion of service transformation and e-delivery initiatives over the course of her career. During her 18 year career in the federal public service, Nancy was instrumental in evolving the federal government's commitment to service transformation and e-delivery. Since leaving the federal public service in 2001, Nancy has continued her work as an independent consultant including a long-term association with the influential Lac Carling Congress for which she has been the Executive Program Director.
"We congratulate Nancy in her promotion to GTEC's Executive Director of Content," said Greg Kerwin, Vice President and General Manager, GTEC, UBM TechWeb. "Nancy is a founding partner of GTEC, and the strongest possible candidate to shape the program for Canada's 2011 government technology event. We look forward to working with her on creating a comprehensive and compelling program for public sector IT & IM professionals."
Terry Horsman has been promoted from Director of Sales to Director of Sales & Marketing. Terry started with GTEC in May of 2006 and worked in marketing until 2009 when he moved into sales. In 2010, Terry assumed a role driving both sales and marketing on the brand and is now Director of both.
