Presentation Guidelines
Welcome and thank you for your commitment to GTEC 2010! The following guidelines will help you design and deliver an exciting and educational presentation.
KEEP IN TOUCH WITH US!

IF YOU ARE DELIVERING YOUR PRESENTATION AS PART OF A PANEL:
- Keep in contact with the chairperson from the session planning stage through to the actual presentation. If you have a problem reaching the chairperson, let us know
- Get to know the other speakers on your panel. Familiarity among panelists improves the quality of the session and gives you the opportunity to network with your colleagues.
- Make sure you are clear about the format of the session, your role and those of the other speakers on the panel.
DELIVERING YOUR PRESENTATION:
GTEC 2010 has established a reputation for providing programs that deliver pure education - not product pitches. Our own mission to be an independent and reliable source of advanced knowledge is compromised when speakers present marketing information. Pitching rather than teaching reflects poorly on both the speaker and his or her company.
Our conference attendees have repeatedly affirmed this principle when giving us post-event feedback. Providing conference attendees with what they want will benefit all of us.
That said, please note that marketing opportunities are available as part of the greater GTEC 2010 event. Please visit the Showcase.
Note: Handouts are allowed in the session rooms as long as you notify and receive approval from your contact.
