General Information & Dates
For the past 20 years, the Distinction Awards have recognized and rewarded public sector individuals and teams who have achieved excellence in the implementation of IM/T within the Canadian government. Each year, the Distinction Awards judging committee conducts an extensive evaluation of hundreds of nominated projects submitted by Federal, Provincial and Municipal government teams. The third party judging process is managed by SCOAP (the Society of Collaborative Opportunities and Advancement of Professionals, operating as a Division of CATAAlliance), and the judging panels include executives from both the public and private sectors.
The culmination of this program is the annual Distinction Awards Gala – a formal celebration of award honourees at the Ottawa Convention Centre. This event starts off with a welcoming cocktail reception, followed by the awards ceremony, and then a celebratory gala, featuring food stations, refreshments and exceptional networking.
