GTEC brings together leading public and private sector experts to collaborate on serving citizens better through innovation and technology. Our conference, exhibition and Distinction Awards program celebrates best of breed technology, and best practice leadership in Canadian and international government.

Over the past three years, GTEC has explored "Government 2.0" as a way for governments to integrate web 2.0 technologies into their service transformation efforts. The 2009 theme of "Government 2.0 Service Mash-ups" focused on creating sustainable innovation using:

• Public sector networks as platforms for collaboration
• Architectures of participation
• Services that deliver targeted outcomes
• Processes that balance risk and results
