The GTEC Conference truly is Canada's Government Technology Event. It is a highly anticipated educational forum that attracts the vanguard of IT decision makers across governments at all levels. The 2008 program has been expanded to 4 days to allow for a blend of focused programming, such as our CIO Boot Camp, in addition to our information technology/information management conference alongside the GTEC Showcase.

We are in the midst of a multi-year effort to address the emergence of Web 2.0 technologies, transformation, and citizen-centered services under the banner of "Government 2.0". Our program includes top-level keynotes and a blend of traditional "information technology" and information management content and is not restricted to only theoretical concepts. We will expose current initiatives and trends in government policy initiatives, and program management, so you can see how today’s initiatives are enabling the vision for tomorrow.

Our 2008 conference challenge is for all jurisdictions to make the shift to government 2.0, and our sessions will highlight leading personalities and initiatives defining what government 2.0 will look like in Canada and abroad. The shape of your government 2.0 is ultimately up to you to create. The conference at GTEC 2008 has been specifically designed as a platform for you to access the tools, talents and technologies that will strengthen your decisions today and as you chart your course to government 2.0.
